Welcome to PeakMoment. Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have.

1. Who we are

PeakMoment is an app developed by Inspired Creations. For questions, you can reach us via the contact form on our support page.

2. What data we collect

PeakMoment is designed with privacy in mind. Most data stays locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

• Summit data: names, altitudes, dates, coordinates, photos, notes and feelings you enter when logging mountain summits.
• Location: used to determine your current position and altitude. Location access is optional and only used when you allow it.
• Barometer: the app uses your iPhone's barometric sensor to measure altitude. This happens entirely on-device.
• iCloud sync: your data is stored in your own iCloud account via CloudKit. We have no access to the contents.
• Photos: photos you add to your summits are stored locally and synced via your iCloud.

3. What we do NOT collect

• No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No selling of personal data to third parties.
• No analytics of user behavior within the app.
• No background location tracking.

4. How we use data

All data you enter is used solely to enable app functionality: logging mountain summits, map display, altitude measurement and synchronization between your Apple devices.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties. The only exceptions are:

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit: for syncing your own data.
• Apple MapKit: for displaying the map and reverse geocoding (country/region determination).

6. Security

Data is stored encrypted via iOS and iCloud. Access to the app is secured via your Apple ID.

7. Your rights

You have the right to view, modify or delete your data at any time. Delete the app or clear your CloudKit container to erase all your data.

8. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be published on this page.
